The Practical Textbook on the FDM by Frank Römer, first published in 2011, is published in a new and revised edition. The book is currently the best Practical Textbook on the Fascia Distorsions Model. In addition to numerous illustrations of body language and treatment, the book also contains a CD-Rom with FDM techniques. The purpose of this book is to convey the Fascia distortion model in a simple and understandable way and to complement the existing book by Stephen Typaldos. It is not intended to replace training as an FDM Practitioner, but rather to serve as a reference book of practical and theoretical principles.
Römer is an osteopath, physiotherapist, alternative practitioner and FDM instructor authorized by IFDMO. He worked for 5 years with top athletes of the German Armed Forces Sports Support Group before opening his practice in Wolfenbüttel in 2004. There he is primarily active as an osteopath with a focus on FDM and paediatric osteopathy. In 2009 he founded the IFO to make fascial therapies better known in Germany. In 2012 he founded the International FDM Organization. The FDM has set itself the task of controlling and monitoring training in the FDM. He is the author and editor of the first "Practical Textbook on the Fascia Distorsion Model".
